Orientation
8Network is an AI gross-margin specialist firm.
The primary offer is the AI Margin Sprint — a 14-day diagnostic that identifies where AI cost goes for B2B AI SaaS companies running production AI features.
This page lists adjacent engineering capabilities we deliver when scoped separately. These capabilities are not marketed and are not the headline of our work; they exist for existing customers, referrals, and inbound that arrives with a specific need.
If your need is AI gross margin, start at the AI Margin Sprint. If your need is adjacent (DevOps, Kubernetes, observability, performance, non-AI cloud cost), continue below.
Adjacent capabilities
Adjacent capabilities, in order of proximity to the wedge:
Implementation Retainer
Implementing the remediations identified in the AI Margin Sprint. Pattern-level guidance translated into code, configuration, and deployed changes by us.
Trigger: after a Sprint, when you want us to implement the remediations rather than your team.
Engagement: T&M or fixed-fee SOW per remediation. Offer doc available on request.
Observability Readiness Setup
LLM observability instrumentation: trace collection, customer / workflow tagging, cost attribution. The prerequisite for the AI Margin Sprint when LLM observability with proper tagging is not in place.
Trigger: you want the Sprint but lack LLM observability with customer / workflow tagging.
Engagement: small fixed-scope. Offer doc available on request.
Kubernetes Optimization
Cost and reliability tuning of self-hosted Kubernetes clusters. Resource right-sizing, pod density, node selection, HPA / VPA configuration, network policy, secrets management.
Trigger: your K8s footprint shows cost or reliability issues outside the AI gross-margin scope.
Engagement: scoped per need; we discuss before quoting.
DevOps and Platform Engineering
CI / CD pipeline review, deployment automation, IaC patterns, secrets management, environment parity.
Trigger: you need platform-engineering capacity beyond your team's bandwidth, or a senior review of platform architecture decisions.
Engagement: scoped per need.
Observability Beyond AI
APM tuning, log aggregation, alerting strategy, SLI / SLO design, on-call playbook review. Tooling-agnostic (Datadog, New Relic, Grafana, Prometheus, OpenTelemetry).
Trigger: your observability is fragmented or noisy in the systems we touch.
Engagement: scoped per need.
Backend Performance Optimization
Application-layer performance: query optimization, caching strategy, async patterns, request-flow analysis. Language-agnostic (Python, Go, Node.js, Rust, Java).
Trigger: latency, throughput, or resource-consumption issues in your non-AI backend.
Engagement: scoped per need.
Cloud Cost Review (Non-AI)
General cloud cost optimization (AWS, GCP, Azure) for workloads outside the AI feature. Compute, storage, network, data-transfer, reserved-instance / savings-plan strategy.
Trigger: cloud cost concerns outside the AI workload (the AI workload itself is the Sprint's scope).
Engagement: scoped per need.

What to Expect
For adjacent capabilities, we discuss scope before quoting. No fixed prices on this page because every adjacent engagement is shaped to your specific need.
For the AI Margin Sprint (the wedge), the offer doc has fixed pricing and scope. Go directly to the Sprint page if that is your need.
Capacity Priority
AI Margin Sprint engagements take capacity priority over adjacent work. If a Sprint is active or queued ahead of your inquiry, expect a delay or further-out scheduling for adjacent engagements.
